Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas. Parents of band students from any of the schools are encouraged to get involved! ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE CLEARANCES ON FILE WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT BEFORE VOLUNTEERING. Click here to get information on how to get your clearances.
Bus Chaperones (away games)
Chaperones are needed to ride the buses for away games. Chaperones take attendance and make sure band members are present before leaving the HS and again before coming home. They help unload and load instrument cases, distribute and collect plumes, watch the instruments when the band takes a break, make sure the water coolers get to the bleachers and then back to the trailer, etc. Click the "Sign Up Genius" button to see the volunteer opportunities to chaperone the away football games this season.
Stand Volunteers (home games)
Stand volunteers help during home games. They sit near the band and help prepare the band members for the field shows. This may include unloading musical instruments from the band trailer, placing plumes in the hats, collecting the plumes after the band leaves the field, helping bring empty instrument cases off the trailer for students for pick up after the game, keeping an eye on the instruments when the band takes a break at half-time, and removal of coolers and plume cases after the game. Popcorn Sales (home games)
Volunteers are needed to sell Popcorn at home football games! Two people are needed for each half. Click the "Sign Up Genius" button to see volunteer opportunities.
